from the kitchens of other countries, our on-campus Sicilian chef
will guide you on a culinary journey you are sure to enjoy. |

Design and make your own fashions. Prepare a wardrobe all your own
that expresses your own personal style and taste.
This course covers the basics of fashion illustration, draping,
sewing and simple pattern making. Students will learn how to draw
and colour the fashion figure and the various articles of clothing
from models and fashion photos, how to drape muslins on a model
form and develop basic bodices, skirts, sleeves, etc., how to make
paper patterns, the steps to designing a collection and finally
to have the opportunity to produce a garment of their choice. |

This creative course explores the visual elements of line, shape, value,
volume, space and texture. The students develop their drawing ability
by experimenting with various mediums such as pencil, charcoal, conté,
wash and ink as applied to still life, landscapes, animals and figure
drawing. Special attention is given to the factors of structure, anatomy
design and expression in the human form. Minimum of five students
required. |

The aim of this course is to provide the basic skills of artistic sculpture
(earthenware, majolica, etc.), modelling (how to prepare the blend,
make and finish a sculpture), as well as plaster cast techniques.
Students will also learn how to file, enamel and paint ceramic objects. |
